Wiener Konzerthaus | Festival | SHMF | Rome | Paris

Hartmut Rohde is performing with the MPQ in the Frick Collection in NY as part of a USA tour. In April, he can be heard in 4 concerts at the “Intonations” in Berlin. Among other musicians, Kolja Blacher, Elena Bashkirova, Paul Meyer are his chamber music partners. Hartmut Rohde will appear in the Villa Massimo in Rome, and will play with Arto Noras, Vladimir Mendelssohn and Michel Lethiec in Paris at the Casals Festival in the Théâtre des Champs Elysées.

At the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, he will interpret Robert Schumann’s piano quartet and Fantasiestücke op. 73 for viola with Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Markus Groh and Jens-Peter Maintz. Here is a little preview: In May 2019 Hartmut Rohde will conduct the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra Budapest in the Vienna Konzerthaus. In addition to symphonies by C.P.E. Bach and W.A. Mozart, piano concertos with the Austrian pianist Gottlieb Wallisch are on the program. Mozart’s piano concerto KV 271 “Jeunehomme” in E flat major contrasts completely with the still unknown “Concertino” by Hans Gál. This work as well as the wonderful little Impromptu for viola and piano will be recorded for the label cpo and produced in Vienna.
